University Medical Complex and Research Center organized a free medical camp

Sargodha, 16 January 2024- Sargodha, A large number of patients availed the facility of free medication at a medical camp organized by University Medical Complex and Research Center University of Sargodha.
Through the medical camp, patients were provided with free check-ups, Laboratory tests and, in addition to that, free medications were also given. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Qaiser Abbas inaugurated the free medical camp, while Director UMC&RC Professor Dr. Muhammad Sher and Principal College of Pharmacy Professor Dr. Usman Minhas were also present at the occasion.
Various medical experts including medical specialists, child specialists, gynecologists, skin specialists, physiotherapists, and dentists, participated in the free medical camp. Experts conducted check-ups related to diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, dental issues, women's health problems, skin diseases, and children's issues. Patients were not only diagnosed, but doctors also prescribed free medications. Additionally, free laboratory tests were provided to patients, including tests for sugar, hepatitis, cholesterol, and uric acid.
The experts provided guidance to the patients on adopting a healthier lifestyle to lead a healthy life. Alongside the medical camp, students from College of Pharmacy conducted a poster competition based on medical research, with more than 100 students presenting innovative ideas related to medicine.
Addressing the audience after the inaugural ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Qaiser Abbas emphasized that living a healthy life is a fundamental right for every individual, and the efforts of the University Medical Complex and Research Center to provide free medical facilities contribute significantly to improving human life.
